PHONE CONNECTION GUIDE

Connect the WiFi module to your phone

Browser setup · No app required

Before you startConnect the module to a compatible BMS and power it on. For local access, select LAN mode on the side switch (L1 off).

  1. Check the initial state

L2 and L3 flashing together means the module is in its initial hotspot (AP) mode.

    L2 + L3Both flashing

If they are not both flashing, press and hold the module button for at least 3 seconds, until L2 and L3 flash again, then start over.

  2. Join the module hotspot

Open your phone’s WiFi settings and connect using these details:

    WiFi name
    JK_BMS_WIFI
    Hotspot password
    66666666

L3 turns off while L2 keeps flashing when your phone has joined. A “No Internet” warning is normal; choose “Stay connected.”

  3. Configure it in your browser

Use your phone’s browser, not the app. While connected to the module hotspot, open http://192.168.4.1/ or http://jkbms.local/.

Enter your router’s 2.4 GHz WiFi name and password. Set a unique local device name, such as jkbms123, then select “Apply configuration.”

    L2 steady · L3 offRouter connected

L2 steady with L3 slowly flashing means the router connection failed. Hold the module button for at least 3 seconds until L2 and L3 flash again, then repeat setup.

  4. Return to your router and view data

Connect your phone to the same router as the module. Open your chosen name followed by .local in the browser.

    Example local addresshttp://jkbms123.local/

You can now view voltage, current, SOC, alarms and balance-wire groups. This address works on your local network.

  5. Authorize parameter changes

The interface is read-only by default. To change parameters, select “Authorization settings” and enter the BMS factory-default password 123456. If it has been changed, use the current BMS password.

Two different passwords: 66666666 joins the module hotspot; 123456 is the BMS factory-default authorization password.

  6. Use the cloud for remote access Optional

For remote access, select WAN mode on the module’s side switch (L1 on). On your phone or computer, open “WiFi Cloud” in the JKBMS website navigation, then register or sign in.

The cloud platform provides device management, real-time status, historical curves and parameter settings.

Open WiFi CloudOpens in a new tab

Reset reminder: resetting the WiFi module clears its saved WiFi configuration, not the BMS settings. Re-enter the router details after a reset.
