Check the module and BMS connection
Use the matching TTL or RS485 harness for your exact BMS and module revision. The V1.0 specification lists 2.4 GHz WiFi; RS485 and UART1-TTL cannot be used at the same time. Confirm the port, protocol and supply arrangement before connecting. A matching plug alone does not confirm compatibility.

Connect the WiFi module to your phone
Before you startConnect the module to a compatible BMS and power it on. For local access, select LAN mode on the side switch (L1 off).
Check the initial state
L2 and L3 flashing together means the module is in its initial hotspot (AP) mode.
L2 + L3Both flashingIf they are not both flashing, press and hold the module button for at least 3 seconds, until L2 and L3 flash again, then start over.
Join the module hotspot
Open your phone’s WiFi settings and connect using these details:
- WiFi name
JK_BMS_WIFI- Hotspot password

L3 turns off while L2 keeps flashing when your phone has joined. A “No Internet” warning is normal; choose “Stay connected.”
Configure it in your browser
Use your phone’s browser, not the app. While connected to the module hotspot, open
http://192.168.4.1/orhttp://jkbms.local/.Enter your router’s 2.4 GHz WiFi name and password. Set a unique local device name, such as
jkbms123, then select “Apply configuration.”L2 steady · L3 offRouter connectedL2 steady with L3 slowly flashing means the router connection failed. Hold the module button for at least 3 seconds until L2 and L3 flash again, then repeat setup.
Return to your router and view data
Connect your phone to the same router as the module. Open your chosen name followed by
.localin the browser.Example local addresshttp://jkbms123.local/You can now view voltage, current, SOC, alarms and balance-wire groups. This address works on your local network.
Authorize parameter changes
The interface is read-only by default. To change parameters, select “Authorization settings” and enter the BMS factory-default password

For remote access, select WAN mode on the module’s side switch (L1 on). On your phone or computer, open “WiFi Cloud” in the JKBMS website navigation, then register or sign in.
The cloud platform provides device management, real-time status, historical curves and parameter settings.

Read L1, L2 and L3
L1 · Network mode
Off means LAN mode for local browser access. Steady means WAN mode for supported cloud access. Use the side switch to select the mode.
L2 · WiFi mode
Flashing means AP hotspot mode. Steady means STA router mode. Check L3 as well to confirm the connection result.
L3 · Hotspot mode
Flashing means no phone or computer has joined the hotspot. Off means a device has connected.
L3 · Router mode
Slow flashing: router connection failed. Fast flashing: firmware upgrade. Steady: server connection failed. Off: normal operation.
Connection troubleshooting
The hotspot says “No Internet”
Stay connected to the module hotspot during setup. If the phone automatically changes networks, turn off automatic network switching for this setup session. The V1.0 manual allows only one client connection at a time in AP and STA modes.
L2 is steady and L3 slowly flashes
Check that the router offers a 2.4 GHz network, then check the WiFi name and password. If needed, hold the module button for at least 3 seconds until L2 and L3 flash again, then re-enter the router configuration.
The local browser page will not open
Join the same router network as the module and use the unique local name you set. Check for duplicate names, automatic network switching, or proxy, VPN and firewall interference. The V1.0 manual requires Bonjour for Windows access using .local and suggests trying another router or phone hotspot to isolate network issues.
L3 stays on in router mode
This means a server connection failure, which differs from the slow-flashing router failure. Record the mode, LED pattern and network state for support. Do not change BMS protection settings to troubleshoot a network connection.
